Insider launches PDA data entry application 

Insider’s new PDA based data entry system will enable PDA users to download, edit, read, store, and submit predefined questionnaires to a web server database. Completion of questionnaires can be by any combination of free text, check boxes, or drop-down lists. A user will have the option to attach additional data such as photographs. There is username and password protection to the web server, and a tracking management system will provide single-user form protection. Forms can be completed and stored off-line when the web service is unavailable.  A user can run the application on their Windows PC and enjoy the same full functionality as when using their PDA, with the added feature of being able to produce predefined reports in Microsoft Word.

Insider has created a HP NonStop code scanning reporting tool that will assist with the forward migration, including Itanium, of HP NSK applications.

The tool is PC based and it will scan nominated directories containing HP NonStop source.  It will report on obsolete function calls and their arguments and highlight areas of risk, together with accompanying statistics.

Insider Joins Club NSAA

Insider Technologies has enrolled as a member of Club NSAA. NSAA stands for NonStop Advanced Architecture. HP is introducing the HP NonStop Advanced Architecture as the foundation for its next-generation NonStop servers to be implemented over the next few years. NonStop servers based on this architecture will set a new standard for availability in commercial computing while leveraging HP technology for better price/performance.

This membership will allow Insider to accredit its full product suite against the latest HP NonStop hardware in advance of the First Customer Shipment.
